This is an exciting moment in our journey, and as part of our commitment to strengthening leadership capacity and delivering our long term vision, we have created a new Strategic Director of Place and Economy role. This is far more than a senior leadership appointment. It is a rare opportunity to influence the future direction of Neath Port Talbot and leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.
As a member of our Strategic Leadership Team, reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will lead a broad and influential portfolio encompassing Housing and Communities, Property and Regeneration, and Leisure, Tourism, Heritage and Culture. You will play a pivotal role in developing and delivering an ambitious vision for place, ensuring that regeneration, housing, economic growth, community wellbeing and cultural development are aligned to maximise benefits for residents, businesses and visitors alike.
Working closely with elected members, government, investors, businesses, regional partners and local communities, you will help secure investment, shape strategic partnerships and champion Neath Port Talbot on the regional and national stage. You will be instrumental in ensuring that the opportunities before us translate into tangible improvements in people’s lives, stronger communities and a more resilient local economy.
